Identifying Toxic Ingredients

Rule of thumb: if you can't pronounce the ingredient, don’t buy it!
For example:
Tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBHQ)
Can anyone pronounce that one? Well, that is TBHQ, a known preservative in an abundance of food to “preserve freshness,” which means to extend the shelf life. It’s a carcinogen and responsible for weakening the immune system in children.
Titanium Dioxide (Artificial Color & Color Added)
This additive is present in candy, ice creams, fruit snacks, dairy products, snacks, chocolates, etc. The purpose of this additive is to “brighten” the color of the food while POISONING the consumer. Did you know this additive is BANNED in Europe? So the question is, why is it still allowed here in the United States? See, manufacturers are getting clever with their food labels. They have an abundance of “hidden names” for the poison they taint our food with. They get clever enough to trick the consumer into thinking they are purchasing a “healthy option” by naming the additive something more appealing and clean-sounding. The unfortunate truth is the children receive the brunt of the poison due to the sneaky “friendly character” food packaging. It is all a scheme, hidden behind your child’s favorite TV character on the box.
This sneaky ingredient has over 40, yes, 40 + different names! Food manufacturers sneak this into EVERYTHING, so reading food labels is very important. This poison is used to “enhance the flavor” of the food. But the side effects wreak havoc among children and adults. Did you know that MSG is linked to fibromyalgia, fatty liver, high blood sugar, liver damage, etc. So the next time you buy a can of chicken noodle soup or a box of French onion dip mix, you are ingesting MSG.
These are just 3 examples of ten thousand more out there. My point is to question everything. When in doubt, throw it out!
