What The F*** Is That?

Smoke Flavor

This brand of spices is a staple in many households and can be found in virtually every grocery store. However, it's crucial to read the ingredients. The term "Smoke Flavor" is concerning. Smoke flavorings can contain PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons). Genotoxic, carcinogenic, mutagenic, and reproductive toxicity, present significant risks to our health. "Smoke Flavor" has been banned in Europe since 2024, so if Europe can get rid of it, why can't the United States?

It is crucial for us, the public, to be informed and to share our discoveries with others. The food industry and our government need to be held accountable for being able to allow this into our food, knowing that the consumer's health is at risk.
